Putin welcomed his 'dear friend' Mr. Modi recently in Russia and i'm guessing he'd like a few more million barrels of oil to keep his war machine running.
That is why the US/EU are going to lose the war in Ukraine.
The Europeans haven't come to terms with the fact that the world has changed.
If they want to become a global power again, they need to have Russia as a partner and not an enemy.

Partnering with Russia is like partnering with flesh eating bacteria.

You either need to be remote so the infection can't spread or big/dangerous enough that they can't gobble you up. Which is why all Russia's neighbours have run to join NATO
