No doubt you can, but at what cost? If you can find a substitute that does the job equally well, and costs a lot less, wich one would you buy?Another tip:
You can buy a tin of Hammerite Thinners from places that sell Hammerite Paint.
Double the price now. I know this is an old thread but it's useful for anyone wondering.A tip about cleaning Hammerite out of brushes:
White spirit certainly doesn't work, nor does normal cellulose thinners. I've found, however, that UPVC window frame cleaner (Siroflex SX) does the job brilliantly and comes in under £6 per litre (a lot less than the 'real' thing). Haven't tried it as a thinner, though.
