For those that are not hard of thinking, it is absolutely obvious that claiming an offensive, distasteful or untrue comment was a joke after the event, is not genuine nor an acceptable excuse.
But my comment was so obviously a joke and I recognised it at the time. I even accompanied it with a smiley emoji, just in case any hard of thinking people misunderstood that it was a humorous comment.
That isn't a smiley emoji. That's a rolleyes emoji.
