Just watching the news. They have appealed for volunteers to assist with the search. So far only three have turned up plus one Tik Tokker. He may well have met a nasty end and is yet to be found but if the little shìt suddenly appears, he ought to have the book thrown at him.

I'm not surprised, it must be costing them a fortune.

I imagine that they think he either died on the day he went missing a couple of weeks ago or, he is alive but doesn't want to be found for some reason.

So he has been found right by where he was last known to be (by phone I think), this says a lot about the Spanish police search teams effectiveness.

Good job you were there to oversee the operation

Food for thought

Details: Twenty-one-year-old French tourist Veronique Mireille Marre vanished from Wasdale in Cumbria in 1983. She had last been seen walking past Wast Water Lake.

Suspects: None at the time of broadcast.

Extra Notes: This case aired on March 14, 1985, the show's eighth episode.

Results: Solved. In late 1985, Veronique's remains were found at the edge of a cliff near the lake, presumably from an accidental fall.

The information suggests he was found near his mobile, but at the bottom of a ravine? I suspect the case of Veronique Mireille Marre is not really comparable, since I'm pretty sure nobody knew her planned route (she spoke limited English) and she probably didn't have a GPS enabled mobile phone. Though she was apparently an experience mountaineer. Her remains were found by accident, not as a result of publicity.
