More deaths in the channel.

Didn't we take back control of our borders though?
Yes, so if the people smugglers ever visit UK, and apparently we know who they are (we just can't do anything about them), they'll be arrested.

Whatever comparison you wish to make, to focus in the extensive way the BBC do on such small occurrences, 1 death every 50 days, is to play a political game.

4 homeless people per day die in the UK who would probably not of died had they had a suitable place to live. (this is 200x greater in numbers than migrants dying crossing the channel)

Why are they homeless? there is a massive housing shortage
Why is there a massive housing shortage? because we need to find homes for 600,000 migrants per year entering the country, they must come first for some reason.

May be the narrative should be; if we could stop the inward immigration then we could save four homeless people dying every day - homeless people dying must not be newsworthy in the far left minds of the BBC.
Theres a few, as well as a few in the media who seem a bit backwards in coming forwards in speaking out about the doctors going on strike for political motives, with the side issue of some of their patients losing their life earlier than they might have done.

The 'asylum' laws made in the 19 50s haven't kept pace with the age they now operate. So it comes with no surprise they're not fit for purpose.
The question then has to be why havent they then been reviewed.

Why focus on the BBC? Is no one else reporting it?
Nobody seems to be reporting on it so extensively, and doing the reporting in such a heart wrenching style. My guess is the beating heart of the Beeb are migrant enthusiasts.

And since like many others I am forced (or at least compelled) to subscribe to this organisation then I have a right to comment on their content.

You could be onto something there. I know it sounds wacky, but perhaps the Government should be looking at all options?

Never going to happen, strings are being pulled in one direction and one direction only.
Have you still not got what the eu was about?

I wonder (because I don't know) how long it takes to train someone to become an assessor of asylum claims? Unless they're advertising vacancies and folk just aren't applying, why is the government not throwing some £££ at employing a lot more of these assessors to ensure claims are concluded more quickly? Folk keep saying it's core to getting this issue resolved.

It's no wonder folk conclude the government actually has no interest in resolving this for whatever reason e.g. to deflect from their incompetence across health, housing etc.
