The new cross has a distinctly multicultural theme running through the cross of St. G. which really should be red. Did the Crusaders crusade 'cross the dusty roads of the Levant with some airy-fairy multi-coloured symbol on their shield? Nay, thrice nay and nay again, i say.

Seems many know, but daren't say for fear of being branded right wing, which they are not. The cross of St George is red, this flag seems to be a political emblem. Here is FIFA's stance on such symbols.
FIFA has announced, once again, that it considers the poppy to be a political symbol. And its rules prohibit players from wearing symbols for political, religious, commercial, or personal statements
