Pallets!

brilliant job people :D:D
i try and select complete sections where delamination[de-nailing ] off sections are kept to a minimum with only trimming to length/to square edges an option for example a say 620mm x935 in an oblong covering the central blocks within a central section off a pallet
if delaminating the blocks from the planks often flexing a bit to give space and using a metal blade in a jigsaw or recip saw gives a good cut in the now open area

I get my pallets either from local roofing suppliers ( lots of close board pallets offering lots of timber) or local sign manufacture who use larger pallets up to 3m in length with provide useful longer timber.

US SITE , UK spec if for kiln dried timber to avoid the need for preservatives which I believe are no longer used.

Is there any risk of finding US pallets in the UK ?

What about European pallets? Bound to be some of them in this country, we've got enough of their people.

Europe has similar regs, US has either HT or MB stamped on pallets to denote heat treatment [HT] or bromide treatment [MB] though have never seen any so far in UK.
Had hardwood pallets from India [they were heat treated ] and burned nicely in my wood stove.

Countries importing can specify what they will accept.

We used to be the European distributors of an American range of pet supplements.

Our orders were shipped on US pallets. The delivery drivers constantly moaned about the fact that their pallet trucks struggled to lift the US pallets. The ones we used to get had deck boards all the way around. The drivers would often have to break one of the deck boards to enable them to get their truck under.

Everything is bigger in the US, especially their mouths.
