Reform 'Contract' (Manifesto)

I'm surprised this hasn't been more talked about.

What could it possibly be that attracts so many racist homophobes to the Reform party?
Farage is on a BBC QT special tonight, I'm sure it'll come up.

The stuff coming out this guys mouth was truly chilling, and the younger guy also recorded wasn't much better.

I sometimes wonder how true to their convictions these people would be. e.g. if a small boat landed, would they genuinely be happy to see the people gunned down?

I think the other guy said under them (Reform) the police would be run more like a paramilitary operation.

Be very careful what you wish for if voting for parties like this ...

The more extreme right wing views fit in well with Reform. Probably attract climate change deniers as well. Popularism. Pick a few subjects that they know people wonder about and push them hard. Solutions are usually thin on the ground. Actually I am sure this technique was used to push for Brexit.
Currently all Rishi can say is that Labour will increase taxes. Sort of project fear with no proof what so ever. They mention an instance where Brown did this on a new area for very specific reasons. LOL be interesting to ask Rishi why he and none of the others didn't reverse it.

Clearly some parties and external actors are pushing tactical voting. Is that popularist. I think it is.

Behind it all. Lots of the west have similar problems. Target specifics. Trouble is it seems to be working. According to reports Trump has upped the action - telling pure lies. Farage ??? They have thrown in a bit of technical stuff to help confuse.

They're explicitly against net zero and any action to address climate change.

This is partly why I think it would be interesting to see how things would play out if Reform won the GE with a decent majority. Take the small boat issue. Would they really start physically forcing the boats back, even if this risked the life of those on board? Who would do this for them? Their new UKPP (United Kingdom Paramilitary Police) perhaps. Or would they do as any party should. Set up much more efficient, and fair, processing of those arriving?

How would our infrastructure fair under them? Our utilities? Health, education, housing, jobs etc. Inward investment.

The more heavy-handed rhetoric is I would assert easier to deliver if you know, realistically, you're not going to be in power. And if somehow gaining power, I suspect they'd have little choice but to water much of their plans down once faced with the day to day realities of being in government.

Unless we actually want to live in a society with such a party in power? I know I don't.

Farage's aim is to steal votes. Techniques may pull some in from any party but he has a hope and even mentions it. Total collapse of the Tory so they start running around like headless chickens. This forcing them to change - you can guess in what way.

The problem really is that popularism is gaining ground in many countries. Many have problems so easy solutions. Trump is a bit different eg America First etc

Bit of a surprise in France and I think others. They looked at age and MEP voting. Take the very young who can vote. Turnout low but strong indications they favour the popularists. If all turn out the numbers would be significant.

C4 did an interesting experiment They took two groups of people. Separate Labour and Tory influenced. Used some specialists and set up a web site for them to get their news from. These also made suggestions on influencing people. They used reply bots and various other ideas slanted to suite the group views. Also some deep fakes with Starmer and Sunak making statements. Some did wonder if they were fakes but this didn't seem to have much effect. Mock election. The labour lot. All but 2 voted for Labour. Tory all voted for the Tory.

The deep fakes can be made from any video they find. Words changed, right voice and these days good lip sync.

Khan got a mention. Ruled by Moslems. Total rubbish but once out impossible for him to pull it back. It gets blasted out on the web and a lot of it sticks.

Yeah, no evidence of that, for either of the reform party members caught on film being awful human beings.

Channel 4 caught it on camera, Reform failed to identify and expel racists and homophobes.

Coz the lying grifter says so?

:ROFLMAO:
Apparently the bloke making the racist remarks was an actor who has worked for C4 in the past.
According to Farage he has a website where he advertises his services .
Don't know that is true or not.

He's an actor, just like Lawrence Fox.

He joined the party under his real name.

There's no plot here, Reform just takes anyone and doesn't check to see if they're racist arseholes. And worse they don't get rid of them when they do discover.
