Though any effect will be short lived with this useful idiot, saying he would scrap it immediately.. Quite clearly he's worried that it might actually be an effective deterrent, so a blatant attempt to push the numbers up to argue its a failure.

The Rwandan government won't guarantee how many migrants it can take from the UK if flights start to depart.
Rishi Sunak has promised that migrants arriving in the UK without permission will be sent to Rwanda rather than allowed to claim asylum in the UK.
Around 52,000 have come to the UK since the law was changed in 2023 and are in line for deportation.
Rwanda has signed a five-year deal with the UK, with costs estimated to be at least £300 million already.
Rwanda won't guarantee how many migrants it will take from UK
Government spokesperson Yolande Maloko also feels Rwanda has been "attacked unjustly".

We could let them build their own refugee camp houses and use airdrops for food and the RAF when the buildings are no longer needed. Maybe use several layers of high rise insulation for the buildings and nothing else. Use incendiaries and no need to clear up the rubble.
52,000 returns as outlined would take a bit over 14 years. That relates to the people who are here. A backlog. Often figures have been produced from a point in time ignoring the backlog which continues to build up.
The smugglers will always do their best to carry the most number of people they can manage. When asked it's not hard to find refugees that don't care about the Rwanda aspect. The smugglers know from their point of view it's best to just continue to ship people as it will overload the system. As above it already has.
The people who go there get long term support so the buildings remain occupied for a long time.
By the time there is an election we will have some idea of any Rwanda effect. Currently we haven't a clue.
One aspect as far as Starmer is concerned is to get processing levels at least back to what they have been in the past. Plus returns. Money best spent here and in other areas.

The simplest solutions are often the best, another aspect the Government have failed miserably at.
My preferred option was to shoot a few as they left French waters. You wouldn't have to do many, just make sure it gets plenty of publicity. Would turn the tide overnight, but Nosey wasn't too keen for some reason.
Seriously, you only need to send half a dozen flights to Rwanda, once again making sure of maximum publicity. Maybe even write something like "queue here for Rwanda" in large letters on the White Cliffs. See how the parasites turn to another country for a free ride very quickly. Suddenly they like the craic.

The majority of Rwanda's population is Christian. About 45% belong to the Catholic faith, 35% to the Protestant faith. Only about 5% profess Islam. This is primarily due to the first German, later Belgian colonization, in the course of which the country was Christian missionized.
Also involvement in fighting in nearby areas plus problems for their gov's opposition. The tribal genocide was a while ago.
