Tory party to change back to imperial measurements

Could be done whether in or out of the EU...

Is the UK stopping the 'export' of live animals from say Wales to England?

What's the difference?

Brexiteers fail to realise/accept that all countries within the EU are sovereign ones...

They can make their own laws if they choose to do so!

So your next false brexit 'benefit' offering is?

Nonsense reflection of your ignorance on the subject ;)

Same as your ignorance on halal / kosher meat in schools ;)

If ignorance is what you seek, then look no further than your own mirror...

But of course you can show us all exactly where it states that sovereign country members of the EU can't pass their own laws?

Surely you can you do that, can't you?

On live exports ?
Yes I could but I won’t

If I seek ignorance than I have def found it in you :ROFLMAO:

Blimey what you know on the subject could be written on a postage stamp with A 6 inch paint brush :ROFLMAO:

Barmy Mogg is moaning about it.

However:

"The decision to drop the idea, which had been hailed as a potential “Brexit freedom”, came after it turned out that only a tiny fraction of British businesses and consumers wanted to see a bigger role for imperial units.

The government revealed on Wednesday that out of 100,000 people who responded to a consultation on boosting Britain’s “long and proud history of using imperial measures”, only 1.3 per cent were in favour of increasing their use for buying or selling products."

It's obviously really, as it will only cost British businesses more to go back to imperial. And these daft old politicians seem to have forgotten than everybody going into work today, and most working in factories etc. are all brought up on metric. And warehouse systems, retail, supply chain, logistics etc all in metric measurements. The cost would be astronomic, and entirely pointless.

It just goes to show how out of touch these dimwits in government, and also many of their avid followers, are.

pmsl...

So why is that?

Oh that's right...

You can't even find a single bit of evidence to back up yet another of your ignorant claims

No surprise tbh

Most of your claims are ignorant any way

The goebells of the forum ;) Propaganda and waffle

Every machine that we have at work is metric. Nobody who operates them understands imperial.
It’s technically possible to create CNC in imperial but they all do it by converting metric.
I was taught metric at primary school in 69/70.

A brand new building that we have just moved into used metric in its construction and all the guys working were 20-60. They have all been using metric for years.

It makes as much sense as JRM pushing for all opticians to only sell monocles

Yep, I went to a primary that taught only metric too. The idea of using inches, feet, pounds and cups for scientific calculations is just barmy. Yes, it can be done, but it would add (waste) huge amounts of time.

Go back to imperial would be like telling farmer to go back to using oxen the pull ploughs, and sowing all the seeds by hand. Theoretically possible, but totally insane.

America still seems fine with it.
