Actually he probably could vote, as Florida looks at the state in which you were convicted in, if that state say's you are ineligible then you can't vote in Florida. NY allows all felons to vote if not in prison and then has quite a few exceptions - mostly for non violent crime, however their version of home detention. ie being tagged does not restrict your right to vote. I suspect that's the more worrying aspect for trump, he will more than likely get a home detention order as that is the starting point in the NY penal code, 1st offence 3 months home detention.Had he been found guilty in Florida- yeah, I think he would not be allowed to vote.
