Possibly misled by his clients which is grounds for not acting any furtherRumour has it, he was sacked rather than quit and its safe to say the clients are better off without him.
He and his firm are under investigation and they already have sanctions against them. He really should be keeping a lower profile, if he wants to continue to practice..

You cannot say he was no longer a threat given he had just committed GBH on an armed officer.
