The rioters back in about 2011 or 2012 were treated very firmly. I think one got a year in jail for taking a bottle of water.

They could deport foreign nationals from UK prisons, should free up about 10k spaces.If we took back British prisoners from abroad, then that figure would go down to about 8.5k extra spaces. As the saying goes, every little helps.
