…the thugs and rioters and quite right too. He promises swift action and "whatever it takes" to bring them to justice. Well, I hope he does but I suspect there’s going to be lots of suspended slap on the wrists types of sentences given out but let’s wait and see. I mean, they’re letting criminals out early so I can’t see any of these rioters getting jail time.

150 5 year sentences would wipe the clocks of these scumbags. Tag 150 shoplifters and release them. Where's Judge Jeffries when you need him?

Are there any prison places?

The rioters back in about 2011 or 2012 were treated very firmly. I think one got a year in jail for taking a bottle of water.

No need to give them prison sentences, they can be given community service doing voluntary work for asylum seekers

Starmer condemns well yes like most / all politicians they will come out with the usual spiel
Although Starmer has prosecuted more serious criminals than Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak put together.

Knows more about it, and has put some away.

An inevitable result of the Tory policy of having too many convicts and too few prisons.

That worked out well, didn't it?

And you know what they did to the Probation Service.

Party of Laura Norder my arse.

Was he director of public prosecutions during this horizon caper ??

The DPP did not prosecute the postmasters.

I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Never asked that specific question I asked if it occurred on his watch ?? Tis a rhetorical question as it did ;) ( surprised you did not know that )

Was he director of public prosecutions when Theresa May was Home Secretary ?

You know that person who you ( was it not ?) who accused her of being a murderer over this Grenville caper ? Mind you you were in good company as John macdonel who was starmers shadow cabinet colleague made the same accusation

Afaik he apologised ??

Unlike the 'Just stop oil' protesters who got up to 4 years in jail...

Who exactly are the extremists?
