Those massive queues at Dover that brexers claim don’t exist….are back

Is Germany in recession? yes or no.
Is UK in recession? yes or no.

Genius since 2015 how much has UK GDP per capita grown?
How much has Germany GDP per capita grown?

10% and 24%

I will let you guess which is which.

What qualifications did Boris have and Sunak?
I was of course talking about working class people.

Rishi was educated at Winchester College, studied philosophy, politics and economics at Lincoln College, Oxford, and earned an MBA from Stanford University in California as a Fulbright Scholar.

Boris won a scholarship to study Literae Humaniores at Balliol College, Oxford, a four-year course in the study of the Classics, ancient languages, literature, history, and philosophy.

Even so, without those academic experiences, Boris and Rishi would have just got by like most of the upper classes, with rich parents, posh schooling and/or marrying into money.

I can't see either of them sweeping roads or flipping burgers so not relevant to my point. What point are you trying to make?

Yup 9 lane traffic jam, hours and hours of brexit freedom delays

its odd how Brexit supporters never see these delays, but like when they never saw shortages of tomatoes :ROFLMAO:

Who says Brexit supporters never saw the queues? We've been seeing those queues on peak holiday travel days for as long as I can remember. Queues at the ferry terminal (and airports)? On a Saturday morning? In the six weeks holiday? Whoda thunk? Tell me, how were the queues the following day? Why was that - had we rejoined the EU overnight and nobody told us?

Normally those were due to strikes or mechanical failures. Or much smaller.

Brexit has made things worse, it makes you look ridiculous to claim it hasn't changed anything.

School holidays.
Day long queues? Without a strike or natural disaster didn't happen. Now they do.

Yep. At the start of the Easter and summer School holiday periods. Happens every year.

"Queues are expected to build up between 6am and 1pm on the first weekend after most school holidays start in England and Wales, with more than 3,000 private cars expected before 10am on Saturday – more than five times the number expected this Tuesday".

"Queues of traffic and rail strikes have hit travellers as they embark on trips after many schools across England broke up for the summer holidays. The Port of Dover said it was taking about 40 minutes for departing passengers to pass through border checks, having been 90 minutes earlier on Saturday".

"The Port of Dover has once again become backed up with huge queues of holidaymakers as thousands head to Europe. Up to 5,500 cars and 350 coaches were predicted to travel through the ferry terminal. Motorists were also warned that this could be the busiest late May bank holiday since 2019"

All quotes from post Brexit travel. If you're trying to prove that Brexit isn't factor you would want to find matching quotes from before 2020.

Tony Smith has his own agenda.
"The preferred policy outcome — to prevent people taking to the boats in the first place — has not worked. This is not because of any lack of effort by the UK Government, who have invested a great deal of time, money, and effort to encourage the French to stop the boats on their side of the border. It is because the French have steadfastly refused to engage in joint patrols or accept instant returns, presumably for political reasons."

Why should the French accept a proposal for "joint patrols"? Where would these "joint patrols" patrol?
I bet UK would not accpept joint UK-French patrols in UK.
Who or how would the UK police in France be limited by the French laws. It's a legal minefield.

Why should the French accpet instant returns. An asylum seeker has a right for their claim to be assessed.
Tony Smith conveniently ignores such dilemmas in his reporting.
