Saying that I don't hear youngsters say "I have a right to everything, and now"? That's my MO?
You are doing it a gain - pretending to be thick - pretending not to understand. You do it all the time.

It's a statement of fact, nothing else, I have never heard youngsters claim any sort of "rights" for these things.

Would you rather I lied about it?

Why? £220 for a whole year. Gym, swim, classes (if I wanted). I went swimming at 6.30 this morning.
Yep over 60s get a cut price concession at our gym including pool or if you don't want membership swim is only £2.50 Olympic size pool and also 18 holes of golf for £13.50

They give an impression of having an entitlement to having everything right now, waiting, earning the entitlement is not something they expect to have to do.
A agree a lot, too many in fact.

Plenty work, always have and always will do. But the there is definitely an “entitled” mind set in a lot of young people.

Average when people leave home - 25 but 30 in London
Average age when people buy a house or I assume a flat - 33, 35 in London.

According to the latest first-time buyer statistics, there were around 874,000 first-time buyers in the UK between 2022-23 (approximately 22,000 more compared to 2021-22).8 May 2024

Hang on Lloyds probably due to counting mortgages not people
However, the overall number of first-time buyers fell by -21% to 293,339 last year, compared to 2022.

London is a place where people want to live and with an ever-increasing population and a lack of houses being built to keep up with the demand, house prices are higher than the rest of the country.
In East London the average cost of a house is over £500,000. House prices in other parts of London such as Hackney have an average cost of £600,000 Whereas houses in Shoreditch are closer to £680,000. Compare these to the average cost of houses in Manchester (£248,000) then you can see why the average age of moving out of your parents home in London is 32 years old and the average age of buying a house in London is 35 years old.

UK residents need an average salary of close to £54,000 to purchase a property, according to new research. The study shows that for those searching for a flat to buy, a salary of just under £31,000 is needed, while a detached house requires a salary of more than £86,600.29 Apr 2024

I've come to the conclusion that a large number of GD posters are haters of the young because they are useless old gits privileged by circumstances!

And they then moan about the society that they helped create, and whinge/stamp their feet whilst croaking 'something must be done about it'...

Thankfully most of those who caused the problems will soon croak themselves, and there may be a chance of a reboot (y)

Bear in mind re your reboot, the youth will become the middle aged will become the old ... and round it goes ;)
