Have you tried the Carlsberg Pilsner? Not bad for a lager from the big producers. Good value too.

The only time this should be contemplated is if for some reason find yourself in Portugal (kidnapping maybe) then least you have a fighting chance of getting something edible to eat, and that's not a large up for foreign "English" pub food either.
