That’s not brunch, not at 3.00 in the afternoon. That’s Linner.I've just had a late brunch. Button mushrooms on toast with fried eggs
Don't spread it, slice the butter and put it on.So am I but I CBA to thaw it out enough to spread on toast. I must have my toast cold though.

I sometimes do but Mrs Mottie says it looks like slices of cheese!Don't spread it, slice the butter and put it on.
Decided to have the same this morning but…..disaster! Only thing that could improve on that was toast made with thick cut, home-made fresh crusty bread so I loaded the breadmaker up last night and woke to the lovely smell of a freshly baked loaf. So far, so good. I popped the fish in milk to poach, brought the water to boil to poach the eggs and popped two slices of bread into the toaster. It came out slightly less done that I liked so I popped them back in for a little extra browning. Took two eggs out of the box, dropped one, tried to catch it with the box and lost that egg plus the last two that were in the box! While I was clearing that up, I forgot the toast and that got blackened so had to do another two slices. Final insult, I burst the yoke of my last egg when popping it in the pan to poach. Talk about feeling gutted - I bet Harry Kane is not feeling as bad as I do this morning!Poached smoked haddock this morning with a couple of poached eggs.

Oi, this is a breakfast thread, stop trying to derail it. I let you get away with it once out of politeness, if you want to talk about fish based sandwiches, start a thread of your own on them!Tuna mayo sandwich.
I've always preferred it in oil, not brine or spring water. Aldi no drain tuna steaks for 99p are great.

In that case, I like your style! I’d suggest a nice Chardonnay to go with both of those.I'm eating one now for breakfast!
Same with my fish finger sandwich.
EDIT: I'm happy to stop if it's just for more traditional breakfasts.
