ITV debate

The wife and I have been listening to this crap for half an hour now. All I have heard is each of the two criticising the other. Offering clear answers to each of the questions has been completely avoided and replaced by trying to put down their opponents.
My opinion, before this began, is that neither of them can be trusted and neither will achieve anything of benefit to us the general population.
I resolved some time ago to vote for Reform. I am even more resolute now!
The irony :ROFLMAO:

You don’t trust them but you trust reform….. which is nothing more than a front for libertarian lobby groups.

Nigel Farage’s Reform Party Has Accepted £2.3 Million from Fossil Fuel Interests, Climate Deniers, and Polluters Since 2019 Election

The anti-net zero party has been bankrolled by oil and gas investors, aviation entrepreneurs, and those who reject climate science.

I must be watching the wrong channel.
Well you are easily taken in by Sunaks grifting lies.

Sunak said “we will carry on lowering taxes” :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Tories have put £80b of tax rises in place since 2019

And they can’t balance the books now and are needing £18b of budget cuts from across all departments

Sounds about right, I'd have maybe put Sunak 5 points ahead.
I'm not a fan of Sunak but tonight he performed better than I expected. Starmer was good at the 'rehearsed' and 'prepared' stuff, but when challenged on anything at all by Sunak, he had an unfortunate facial expression like a rabbit caught in the headlights and didn't really have the answers.
Quite amusing that he will immediately settle the junior doctors strike, but won't give them a 35% rise.

I thought the highlights on BBC News made it look better for Starmer than the full thing.

On the contrary, Old Bean:

those people using the false smear of “Jew hater” have yet to provide a single piece of supporting evidence.

I am very happy to have exposed them…they are the ones that have lost it.
Oh look, there's a squirrel.

A Tory falls for Tory grift.

Sunak looked like a stroppy schoolboy who had just had his school dinner stolen from him :ROFLMAO:

I think this is a pretty good summary.

Starmer absolutely no straight answers

It was really bland and boring with an awful chair

The itv programme afterwards with other leaders was far better - mostly gave answers to questions

I found myself surprised by how much I warmed to Richard Tice. Not listened to much of him in the past but he was certainly the most appealing of the 'also rans'.
