Nigel did well..

Oh dear 'lets really ignore what is written as it does not confirm what I want to think'

' A huge surge in migration has also put strain on the resources of local councils."
You replied to Mottie suggesting it is all a deflection. I gave a link to a n article givign anlysis of the EU votes iun Gernamy that suggest immigration did play a part in the increase in votes for right of centre parties. Just because it does now conform to your belief is not trolling.

Oh dear; let's select a part of a (minor) quote, then post it up - out of context - to imply greater weight to it.

You are the one who is ignoring what is written - that Russia's invasion of Ukraine (royally stuffing up Germany's energy supplies) is creating major tensions between the parties - and trying to imply that immigration is the reason for that.

No you are the one trying to ignore the written word. It may not fit your view and the move into renewable from Russian Gas has impacted the Fianacial position in Germany but denying that immigration has not impacted the level of services is wrong.

I have not suggested that immigration has created tension between parties. That would be the 3 coalition parties that have lost significant votes to AFD?

You have to wonder where the tory elite have run off to... Seems to me that there is a split coming in the Tories, the broad church is just too broad, Henry the VIII moment.

Perhaps the Farage attack on Rishi Sunak’s patriotism has made difference. Responding to the news that a Reform UK candidate said it would have been better if Britain had made peace with Hitler (“Britain would be in a far better state today had we taken Hitler up on his offer of neutrality ... but oh no Britain’s warped mindset values weird notions of international morality rather than looking after its own people”),
and that a Reform UK spokesperson broadly defended the comment, CCHQ issued this statement from Johnny Mercer, the veterans minister. Mercer said:

The suggestion from a Reform spokesman that Britain would have been better off accepting the Nazis’ squalid offer of neutrality instead of standing against them is shameful and shows a shocking lack of judgement. Misusing appeasement to justify Nazi apologism is disgraceful and comments like this are deeply troubling coming from a political party.

Far right party issues statement supporting Fascist aggression in Europe...who'da thunk it. Shocking.

The election is only just getting into its stride; though not far off peak insanity - sooner or later some numpty will level an accusation of anti-semitism at Labour when they leaf through the playbook. I'm surprised they haven't already.

Oh dear the credence you suggest. I take it you know so much better than the BBC correspondent in Berlin who commentated on the impact of immigration on the German level of services then.

My preferred narrative. How judgemental of you.

If immigration is the ticket you are betting on then you truly are dumb.

We don't want immigrants and we don't want to pay UK workers more. What you idiots want is the return of Lords and Ladies so you can grovel in front of them when they through you a few pennies.

The same mouth breathers who scream we don't want immigration then scream when UK staff stand up for higher pay and better conditions.

What do you mouthbreathers actually want?

Gally where did you get that from? Have you not read the posts? It was in response to a knee jerk post that showed that immigration is an issue in the German elections.

It must be your bigotry to associate this with the UK. How do you join up both or should you try to be less judgemental.

Tell me how do you square the circle where you dont want to pay UK workers more but still want them to keep on consuming and buying?

Can you tell and show me in this thread where I have even mentioned UK workers? Or even how much they are paid? And consuming and buying?

Go on.
