I think I have mentioned this before. I've voted Tory before. What I don't like is what they have become, their policies have failed and their response is to double down and destroy the life chances of young people to placate the older crowd.
Just look at the fallout from Brexit, it wasn't even on the manifesto but a hail mary swing to win an election and look at the outcome now - a possible extinction level event for the Tories. That is not good for democracy in the UK.
I just hope from the ruins what emerges is a better Tory party and one that doesn't think that Farage is the answer. All parties need to have checks and balances which have been the Lords, Courts EU etc. These are not the enemies of the people.
I suppose if we ever sat in a pub there would be more that unites us than we disagree on but I cannot support what the current Tory party has become. No self respecting Englishman can.

I may come across as anti-Tory but I am anti This version of Tories. I have mentioned this before - but my favourite MP is and remains Ken Clarke. I am unabashedly pro European ergo my distate of Brexit but on the home front the economic policies from either party will affect me little so I take a more broad view on policies on how they effect the weakest, oldest and poorest. I will be against all policies that reduce voter participation and protest. I may disagree with the protest, even with their actions but I would defend their right to express themselves.
Being English to me is more than what I can retain in my back pocket. The Tories became enamoured with the thinking of Ayn Rand a total nutcase. All that matters is fulfilling ones personal selfish desires.

The world is organising around trading hubs - North America with the US, Canada and Mexico, China and Far east, India and central Asia, Middle Eastern Gulf countries, Europe. Norther and Southern Africa are trying to organise but they are getting little traction. Russia influence is waning but the last thing the world needs is an even more unstable Russia.
We are simply too small a nation now to do it on our own. We need to be part of a trading hub, the idea we could be a Hong Kong on the Thames is just that - a fantasy.

The issue is that those who are hard Tory don't understand how you can criticise them without being anti, or a lefty.
I'm not a lefty either, and I've voted Tory before. But not for this current version and trend.
We need change, that doesn't mean we should never vote Tory again. It's down to direction and policy.

Rwanda policy not even been mentioned. It's the medacious lying.
Until we hold any party to account and not my party. my party come what may we are going to get nowhere.
The big tough questions are either not being asked by the media or when they are they are being lied to or simply ignored.
Imagine you are buying a car and the prospective seller is being evasive with his answers - you would rightly walk away but somehow in politics this is a winning strategy.
