Wales becomes Trumpton

Proven to make people drive elsewhere. But blanket zones like this haven’t made any difference. But the speed kills loby ignore it.

Baby steps. 30 to 20 is a poor comparison. However, it still makes a difference. Long term it will be a good thing.

A week on, can't say my life is being ruined by a lower speed limit...

Two or three years on, since our 20 limit was imposed locally, and I cannot say it has made much difference to me personally. A minute or two, and I am outside the 20 limit anyway.

I image those that don't see an issue with this are cyclists . You know the ones , bumbling around the road like they own the place

It's the same with anything new and contentious. Their anger will wane. They'll just have to get used to it and suck it up.

I often get to do 10mph or less on m1 and m25.

Through London it's often difficult to achieve 20mph.

That's as a motorist not a cyclist.

On my local roads 20mph is probably the best average .
.
It's great to complain about lower speed limits, but in the real world they are often unachievable limits.

It must badly affect those that want to do 40 or more
